After the completion of the project the total storage capacity of up to nearly 400000000 cubic meters, 230000000 cubic meters of working gas. From 2015 to2016 for a period of construction period, plans to build 3 export of salt cavern gas storage site, storage capacity of 110000000 cubic meters, of which the effective working volume about 60000000 cubic meters; 2017 to 2020 for the two phase of construction period, plans to build 7 export of salt cavern gas storage site,capacity of nearly 400000000 cubic meters, of which the effective working volumeof 230000000 cubic meters.
Chen Yongjian pointed out that Hong Kong and China Jintan salt cavern gas storage project relies on PetroChina west east gas pipeline, Sinopec Sichuan East gas transmission source, through the East China area each Hong Kong and ChinaGas Enterprises and other neighboring city gas enterprises of high pressure pipe network interconnection, to achieve natural gas export supply. After the project is completed, will greatly ease the growing tension in the emergency peak demand in East China area, East China regional winter gas shortage phenomenon also is expected to ease.
